The Kingdom of Bahrain is set to transform the region’s leisure and tourism scene with the launch of the Middle East and North Africa’s first-ever Wavegarden surf park.
Wavegarden is excited to shine a light on The Bays, a surfing zone that positively impacts both the way people learn surfing and the financial viability of our wave parks.
DSRT Surf, a surf resort anchored by a five-and-a-half-acre Wavegarden Cove surf park, celebrated a significant milestone as the construction phase has commenced, with the public opening anticipated in early summer of 2026.
URBNSURF Sydney, the eighth surf park that utilizes Wavegarden's technology, has opened its doors this week. The new facility, now open to the public, features a 46-module Wavegarden Cove as well as two restaurants, a surf academy, leisure pool, skate park, surf store, and wellness center. Australia is now the first country in the world to have two surf parks open to the public.
World champion skateboarder and Olympic medalist Sky Brown recently ventured to Garopaba, Brazil, to surf at one of our newest Wavegarden Cove facilities, Surfland Brasil, which also boasts a world-class skate park designed by legendary skater Pedro Barros.
Among the eight Wavegardens scattered across the globe, Surfland Brasil in Garopaba stands out for its unique architectural design within the realm of surf park development.
