Social & Community Benefits

Surfing is healthily addictive. It’s about the buzz you feel afterwards because you overcame a challenge, had a full-on workout and let the power of waves wash over you. Going surfing provides many physical and psychological rewards.

A Wavegarden Cove is the safest and most user-friendly environment to learn and enjoy surfing with everyone. By creating perfect waves in a fully controlled manner, a Wavegarden Cove offers a safe and relaxed atmosphere where riding waves is made accessible, without feeling of sense fear. Every surfer has the opportunity to catch plenty of waves suitable to their experience level.

Surfing is a healthy addiction that generates satisfaction

A Wavegarden Cove has proven to offer tremendous asset for any community, delivering a vast range of positive economic and social benefits. Wavegarden is about sharing incredible experiences with anyone who wants to enjoy them, in natural and healthy surroundings. That includes people who may often feel excluded from surfing due to their disability, illness, age, gender, background, income, or fears of the ocean.

There is no typical visitor to a Wavegarden. Some come with their families or friends, others come by themselves. Some are seasoned surfers, some have never been on a surfboard before. Whatever their story when they arrive, a visit will fill them with hope and inspiration, or as surfers call it, “stoke”.

The old saying in surfing, “The best surfer in the water is the one having the most fun” is something we truly believe in.

At Wavegarden we are collaborating with associations that work with people with functional and intellectual diversity. We also unite forces with NGOs that work with groups at risk of social exclusion, so that they can practice the sport of surfing in a fun and inclusive environment.

It’s a surfing paradise. Wavegarden offers perfect waves in a unique, controlled and safe environment. It is the perfect setting to learn, practice, or perfect the technique of surfing, thus promoting sport and an active lifestyle.
