Presenting URBNSURF Sydney’s First Waves powered by Wavegarden Cove Technology

URBNSURF Sydney is the 8th Wavegarden project, with each being slightly different from the others. The side walls measure 140m respectively, which is 20m smaller than their Melbourne facility, although it has the same 46 modules of machinery.

Wavegarden sets the record straight on shutdowns and reliability, energy consumption, water use, concrete, and the new air section.  So, it is no surprise that the Wavegarden crew get frustrated when they hear and read a diverse variety of misinformation being circulated in the market - stories that cause confusion and uncertainty amongst potential surf park developers and visitors to our facilities. And while Wavegarden has simply focused on our business and building better and more sustainable Wavegarden Coves all over the world with our dedicated partners, we felt we couldn’t let these untruths slide anymore.

Japan's surfers claimed victory in the Siheung Korea Open, a historic event held at Wave Park's Wavegarden Cove in freezing temperatures. Meanwhile, the Aventuur team, led by Ace Buchan, Micro Hall, and Conner Coffin, played a crucial role in programming waves for South Korea's first WSL Qualifying Series events, ensuring a unique and successful competition. The blend of Japanese dominance and the Aventuur team's wave programming expertise made this event a remarkable chapter in South Korea's surfing history.
