Wavegarden’s success is largely due to our team of experts in computational fluid dynamics. With 24/7/365 simulations, they study the hydrodynamics of the machinery and evaluate the effects of different bathymetries, lagoon shapes, and wave-generating technologies.
We have full-scale and reduced-scale facilities dedicated to R&D, which allows us to test and certify the performance of our technologies before launching them to the market, ensuring the commercial success of our facilities.
To maximize the product’s performance, surfers of all levels (from beginners to professionals) have tested the waves at our facilities, providing key feedback for product development.

WAVEGARDEN has received support from the HAZITEK program for the development of the R&D projects LAIDA (ZL-2024/00659), PIVER, TECGEN, AMEFIT, AIMAR and GESOLAS. These projects have been co-financed by the Basque Government and the European Union.
